OUR CARS ALL RIDE THE TRAIN

You probably didn’t know this, but SEAT is a pioneer when it comes to the use of the railway to transport its vehicles and components. In 2008 SEAT opened Autometro, a rail link between Martorell and the Port of Barcelona for the transport of its cars. Currently SEAT exports more than 40% of its production by sea and 95% of those vehicles reach the port by rail. In 2009, we set up Cargometro, linking our Martorell production plant with the Zona Franca facility. Together, these two rail lines take 57,000 heavy lorry trips off the road, a reduction of 2,600 tonnes in CO2 emissions per year.

ALTEA XL ELECTRIC ECOMOTIVE, THE FIRST 100% ELECTRIC CAR FROM SEAT

The Altea XL Electric Ecomotive clears the way for pure electric mobility without emissions. With a range of 135 kilometers, SEAT guarantees driving pleasure with an electric motor of 115 hp (85kW) and a torque of 270 Nm. This power translates into a top speed of 135 km/h. When the e-Altea is parked in the sun, the solar cells installed on the roof renew with fresh air the inside of the vehicle, reducing energy consumption of the air conditioning system. A smartphone application allows to control and program the recharging processes and pre air condition system the vehicle has while it is connected to the charging network.

LEON TWINDRIVE, THE FIRST PLUG-IN HYBRID OF SEAT

The LEON TwinDrive Ecomotive is an innovative concept of plug-in hybrid, because it combines the advantages of zero emissions with the range of a vehicle fitted with a traditional internal combustion engine. In electric mode the TwinDrive has a range of 52 kilometers and reaches a speed of 120 km/h. In combined mode (electrical and combustion) the consumption forecast is only 1.7 liters of fuel or 18.5 kWh per 100 kilometers. The Leon TwinDrive reaches only 39 g/km of CO2 emissions, with a top speed of 170 km/h. The vehicle can schedule an electric energy reserve on the road to ensure the possibility of driving in electric mode at the entry of big cities.

Mii ECOFUEL, SEAT’S CO2 CHAMPION

With an official CO2 emissions figure of just 79g/km, the CNG-powered Mii Ecofuel model has the lowest ever CO2 figure of any series-built SEAT in it’s history. The 1,0l 50kW (68HP) 3-cylinder engine has been specifically developed to run on both CNG and 95RON petrol. In CNG mode, it is capable of travelling 100km for less than 3€!
In normal CNG operation, two underfloor gas tanks enable the Mii Ecofuel to travel 380km. An additional 10 litre petrol tank gives the vehicle a combined total range of 600km.
The Mii Ecofuel is available in both 3 and 5 door versions and comes complete with fuel-saving Start-Stop and regenerative braking technology as standard.

LEON TGI, OVER 1.300KM OF FUEL-EFFICIENT DRIVING

The new LEON 1,4l TGI 81kW (110HP) is SEAT’s latest factory-built CNG model that combines dynamic and sustainable motoring with fuel-efficient affordability.
Offering full compliance with Euro 6 emissions regulations, the Leon TGI consumes 3,5kg/100km of CNG and emits just 94g CO2/km. In normal CNG operation, the two underfloor gas tanks enable the Leon TGI to travel over 400km. Additionally, the Leon TGI maintains the full 50 litre petrol tank of other Leon models. This extraordinary fuel capacity gives the car a total combined range of over 1.300km without the need for refuelling.
Initially available only in its 5 door version, the Leon TGI will soon be available in the ST version as well.
